Mandala Yoga is presenting two yoga courses starting Monday 14 October 2013 at Drill Hall Harbourside, 1c New Beach Road Rushcutters Bay 2011 which is located right on Sydney Harbour.
The courses are:
- ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS a 5 week introductory course
- HATHA VINYASAÂ a 10 week course for more advanced practitioners
Course Description:
Absolute Beginners
You’ve heard so much about yoga. You know it’s supposed to be great for you by making make you fit, flexible, focused and stress free, but you don’t know where to begin or if you’re doing it right. In this 5-week journey we’ll help guide you step-by-step and provide you with the basics so you can confidently join in other classes.  We strongly recommend these workshops to ensure your journey starts from the most enjoyable and empowered place possible.  Absolute beginners yoga provides a safe, nurturing and inspiring setting to begin your yoga journey. Learn basic yoga techniques and foundation poses including:
- Â Â Â a brief background on what yoga is
- Â Â Â common and simple breathing exercises
- Â Â Â foundation postures and how to adapt them to your needs
- Â Â Â how linked postures work together
- Â Â Â how to modify postures uniquely to your body
Hatha Vinyasa
These open classes appeal to students of all levels or anyone who wants to refine their practice. This practice creates a balance of heat and calm.
Classes begin with an opening focus and a gentle warm-up, moving into a moderately paced standing flow. This flowing Hatha Vinyasa sequence of poses are a dynamic and sometimes physically challenging style that changes every week as you explore new sequences including sun salutes (surya namaskar), standing poses, balance sequences, hip opening poses and more. Classes end with gentle relaxation poses leaving you calm and focused.
