In restorative yoga you hold each pose for a long time—anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. If the idea of staying this long in a pose sounds stressful, you’re not alone. Instead of willing your busy mind to be calm, simply notice thoughts as they arise and let them pass through your mind like clouds passing by overhead.
Try to carve out 15 minutes for the restorative poses in this slideshow a few times a week and soon you’ll find a much calmer, happier self.
